The NEET UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled for June 21, and the National Testing Agency (NTA) has completed all preparations. Ahead of the exam, a significant issue has come to light: a diabetic candidate's admit card did not reflect her health status. A parent raised concerns about this on social media, noting that while their daughter suffers from Type 1 diabetes, the admit card made no mention of her medical condition. The parent explained that the student uses an insulin pump and may require specific medical accommodations during the exam.
**NTA Issues Necessary Instructions**
In response to the complaint, the NTA advised such candidates not to panic and to bring a doctor's prescription or medical certificate to the exam center. The agency clarified that necessary permissions would be granted, taking medical needs into account.
**What Facilities Will Diabetic Students Receive?**
According to NTA guidelines, candidates suffering from diabetes are permitted to carry diabetes medication or tablets, fruits such as bananas, apples, and oranges, and a transparent water bottle. This facility is provided to prevent any health-related complications during the examination.
**Exam to be Held on June 21**
The NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted in offline mode on June 21 from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Eligible candidates with disabilities will be granted extra time and may complete the exam by 6:20 PM. More than 22.79 lakh candidates are expected to appear for this exam across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.
**Advice to Avoid Rumors**
The NTA has advised students to steer clear of rumors regarding paper leaks or other exam-related issues. Students are urged to immediately report any suspicious information to the agency or the cybercrime cell. In case of mental stress, students can seek 24-hour assistance via the Tele-MANAS helpline at 14416. Additionally, it is advised to use the NTA helpline and the official website for exam-related information.
