On Saturday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar performed the bhoomi pujan of houses worth more than Rs 2 thousand 548 crore and Indore Ujjain Greenfield Corridor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). 116 projects worth crores of rupees have been inaugurated. Bhoomi pujan of 37 projects worth Rs 310 crore has been done.
On June 22, the Chief Minister also inaugurated 38 thousand houses built at a cost of Rs 992 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The 48.10 km long Indore Ujjain Greenfield Corridor is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2 thousand 935 crore. This will benefit 20 villages of Indore, 8 of Ujjain and 40-50 surrounding villages. A journey that takes hours is now expected to be completed in minutes.
During the program, the CM said, “Today, Indore, Ujjain and Saver have received the gift of development works worth Rs 5,657 crore. This is a historic moment for the people of the state. The bhoomi pujan of the direct road from Indore’s Pitrishwar Mahadev to Baba Mahakal has been done. This project will further connect Pithampur in the Nimar region with the Delhi-Mumbai Economic Corridor and will be important for the economic prosperity of the region.” The route will be built. Its height has been reduced. In ancient times, saints and devotees used to travel on foot for 12 months. Ujjain area will become synonymous with development. He further said, “During the 12 years of PM Narendra Modi’s rule, India has created its own identity in the country and the world.”
Congress government was afraid of taking action against Naxalites – CM Yadav said
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav praised Prime Minister Modi and the Union Home Minister. Taking aim at the Congress government, he said, “Madhya Pradesh has become the first state to become free from Naxalism, but there was a time when the Naxalites had publicly murdered a minister of the then government at the crossroads. The Congress government could not take action against the murderers of its minister, they were afraid of taking action against the Naxalites for the greed of vote bank. But our government took concrete action against those who tarnished democracy.” He further said, today terrorism has been eliminated from the country. The Government of India is securing the borders and inside the country.”
New corridor will become a new synonym for development
Regarding Green Field Road, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, “Along with the traditional road, it will become a new synonym for development.” CM said that now the metropolitan area spread over 16 thousand square kilometers up to Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Dhar and Ratlam will include 6 railway junctions, 2 airports, 4 airstrips and 2 highways. He further said, “Roads contribute significantly to the development of all sectors including industry, trade, agriculture and employment. Now Fatehabad is also going to get the gift of double track of railway.
What did CM Yadav say on wheat procurement?
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that he also discussed the decisions taken in the interest of farmers in the Farmer Welfare Year 2026. He said, “Madhya Pradesh has made the record of purchasing the most wheat from farmers in the country. It has procured wheat from 1.45 lakh farmers of the state and paid Rs 2,625 per quintal.
Minister Manohar Lal Khattar praised CM Mohan Yadav
On this occasion, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar praised the decisions and actions taken by the Chief Minister. He said that the Indore-Ujjain Greenfield Four Lane Project costing about Rs 2900 crore will reduce the distance between the two cities. Ujjain is a city of religion and inspiration and Indore is an economic and employment center. “The construction of Ujjain-Indore Metropolitan Area will lead to development of employment, education and infrastructure on a large scale.”
The Minister said that today 38 thousand families have been given griha-pravesh in houses costing Rs 2500 crore. An amount of Rs 51 crore has been given to 20 thousand small traders of the area under Swanidhi scheme. Sewer and drainage projects have been inaugurated under the Amrit 2.0 scheme. Vehicles and equipment from 36 fire brigade stations have been provided. He has also stressed on accelerating the Swachh Bharat Mission in the state. He further said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, excellent work of Smart City has been done in Ujjain. This is a commendable initiative. He is a visionary thinking Chief Minister who will take Madhya Pradesh far ahead.”
What did Tulsi Silavat say?
Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat said, “Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has a special blessing from Mahakal. He is working with full determination to organize the grand and divine Simhastha 2028. In this sequence, the Bhoomi Pujan of the Indore-Ujjain Greenfield Fourlane Project costing Rs 2,935 crore has been done. For this 48.10 km long highway, 916 farmers of 28 villages will be given Rs 816 crore. Compensation has been given. This road is not only the confluence of Indore-Ujjain, but there will be connectivity till Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Gujarat.
