During the time of Sawan and Mahashivratri, a huge gathering of devotees is seen here.
Kasar Devi Temple
Kasar Devi Temple is famous all over the world for its mysterious and positive energy. This temple is situated on a hill, from where a very beautiful view of the Himalayas is visible. It is said that this area is full of energy like the Van Allen Belt, which is considered very special for meditation and mental peace. Many famous personalities including Swami Vivekananda have meditated here.
Chitai Golu Devta Temple
Golu Devta Temple located in Chitai is counted among the most unique temples of Uttarakhand. Here Lord Golu Devta is considered the god of justice. The most special thing about this temple is that here the devotees write their complaints on paper and hang them. You will see thousands of bells and letters hanging in the temple premises. It is believed that the wishes made with true heart are definitely fulfilled here.
Jhula Devi Temple
Jhula Devi Temple is a famous temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. Here too you will see thousands of bells hanging, which are a symbol of the fulfilled wishes of the devotees. It is said that here the Mother Goddess sits on a swing, hence it was named Jhula Devi. Along with the local people, devotees from all over the country come here to ask for their wishes and when they are fulfilled, they offer a bell.
