OPPO appears to be preparing another battery-focused smartphone that could set a new benchmark in the mid-range segment. According to recent information shared by popular tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the company is currently testing a new A-series smartphone equipped with an enormous 10,000mAh battery.
The leak suggests that OPPO is working on a device featuring a single-cell 9,700mAh battery, which is expected to carry a typical capacity rating of 10,000mAh. If the device reaches the market, it could become one of the largest battery smartphones ever launched by the brand.
OPPO’s Upcoming 10,000mAh Smartphone Could Deliver Multi-Day Battery Life
A battery of this size could significantly improve battery endurance, allowing users to comfortably get through several days of moderate usage on a single charge. The development follows the growing trend of high-capacity battery smartphones in the market.
A similar example is the Realme P4 Power, which packs a 10,080mAh battery and has demonstrated impressive battery performance. The device reportedly delivers more than 15 hours of screen-on time on a full charge, raising expectations that OPPO’s upcoming smartphone could offer comparable endurance.
1.5K Flat Display and Durable Design Expected
According to the leak, the smartphone may feature a 1.5K flat display built using LTPS technology. While the exact panel type remains unknown, it is currently unclear whether OPPO will use an AMOLED or IPS LCD screen. Details regarding refresh rate and brightness specifications have also not been revealed.
Durability could be another major highlight of the device. The tipster indicates that the smartphone will likely focus heavily on ruggedness and drop resistance, a feature commonly seen across OPPO’s A-series and F-series smartphones. Such improvements could help enhance the phone’s longevity and appeal to users looking for a durable daily driver.
4nm Mid-Range Processor Likely
The upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by a 4nm mid-range chipset. Although the exact processor remains undisclosed, industry speculation points toward several possible options.
Potential chipsets include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a Snapdragon 6-series processor, or MediaTek alternatives such as the Dimensity 7500 or Dimensity 7400. Any of these chipsets would provide a balanced mix of performance and power efficiency for everyday tasks, gaming, and multimedia consumption.
Expected Price Around Rs 28,000
The leak also hints at the smartphone’s pricing. The device is expected to launch at around CNY 2,000 in China, which roughly translates to Rs 28,000.
This pricing would align closely with OPPO’s recent A-series offerings. For example, the OPPO A6 Pro 5G is currently positioned in a similar price segment and offers features such as a large 7,000mAh battery and strong IP69-rated durability.
