- 250 grams of okra
- 2 tablespoons gram flour
- 2 tablespoons of rice flour
- 1 tsp red chillies
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp coriander-cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- A pinch of oats
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying or shallow frying
- A little lemon juice

- First wash okra and dry it completely. Then cut it into long thin pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, red chillies, turmeric, coriander-cumin powder, garam masala, oava and salt.
- Add the chopped okra to the masala and mix gently. Add few drops of oil and lemon juice if needed.
- Heat oil in a pan. The oil should be medium hot so that okra becomes crispy.
- Drop a little okra in oil and fry until golden. Don’t move too much.
- Drain the fried okra on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot crispy okra topped with chaat masala or a squeeze of lemon.
- Serve this okra with chapati. You can also serve it with tea as a snack.
