The enmity between America and Iran has once again reached a powder keg. The turmoil in the Middle East has intensified after US President Donald Trump’s decision to stop a major military attack on Iran at the last moment. Iran has retaliated very sharply and sarcastically on Trump’s U-turn. Mohsen Rezai, military advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has taunted the US President on the social media platform X (earlier Twitter).
Iran’s taunt – ‘Those who are not afraid of jackals’
Khamenei’s military advisor Mohsen Rezaei mocked Trump’s decision and wrote that he himself first sets the deadline for the military attack and then cancels it himself. According to Rezai, Trump is sitting in the vain hope that his actions will bring the Iranian people and its officials to their knees in fear. Giving an open warning to the American administration, Rezai clearly said that Iran’s powerful armed forces and the rock-like strength of its citizens will force America to retreat and surrender under any circumstances. It is clear from Iran’s attitude that it is in no mood to bow down to any American pressure.
These 3 Muslim countries saved Iran?
This entire drama started when US President Donald Trump threatened a very destructive attack on Iran on Tuesday (May 19). The whole world was waiting for the war with bated breath, but at the last moment, Trump postponed this possible attack. Trump himself has revealed the big reason behind this. According to him, he has taken this step after an emotional appeal from top leaders of powerful countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar.
Trump’s big revelation on Truth Social
Sharing a post on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, Trump claimed that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed and Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani had sent him special messages. These leaders had appealed to Trump that very serious and secret talks are going on with Iran at this time, hence American military action should be stopped immediately. Arab leaders have assured Trump that this conversation has every possibility of making a ‘big and historic deal’ with Iran.
Trump’s no-compromise policy on nuclear weapons
Even after averting the attack, Donald Trump’s attitude has not relaxed. He has once again made it clear to the whole world that the first and most important condition of any major deal with Iran will be that Iran should never have nuclear weapons. Trump said that he has issued instructions to his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Daniel Kane to stop the attack for the time being. However, Trump has also warned that the US military is fully prepared and if these talks between Arab countries fail, then America will launch the most severe attack ever on Iran in the blink of an eye.
