Bankers will not get Eid leave, this is a big reason

The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr in the country will be celebrated on 31 March. In such a situation, all government offices of the country have holidays. However, RBI has canceled the holidays of the bank employees. March 31 is the last day of Financial Year 2024-25, so RBI has canceled the leave of bank employees. The bank has announced this to manage the financial transactions process correctly on the last day of the financial year.

It is the last day of financial year. In such a situation, RBI has decided to open banks to balance financial transactions. Earlier, banks were to open only in Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh, but later the RBI has decided to open banks across the country.

Not all work will be done

The bank will be open on the day of Eid on 31 March, but on that day there will be no work in banks. Some fixed transactions will be done. For example, there will be payments related to income tax, custom duty, excise duty and GST on 31 March. Payments related to distribution of pension and government allowances will be available only.

Digital payment will be operational

Banks will remain closed on Eid day. Only a few work will be done in banks. But, you do not need to panic. Because mobile banking facilities, online fund transfer and government tax payment service will be operational. You will not need to go to the branch for these works.

Banks will also be closed on 1 April

March 31 is the last day of the financial year. Banks will open due to Closing Day. But on the second day i.e. April 1, work will stop at all places except some states of the country. Banks will be open in Himalayan region, Mizoram, West Bengal and Meghalaya. Will remain closed in other places.
