The District Consultative Committee and District Level Review Committee meeting was conducted Tuesday in the DPRC building at the Zilla Parishad in Anantapur city, and the Collector and Anantapur MP attended.

According to the Collector, lenders should meet all of the loan sanction objectives for Central and State government programs that are given to them every three months.

Bankers shouldn’t be careless in reaching the goals, he added. Along with the goals that have already been met, the Collector recommended that the LDM provide information in the report on the goals that need to be met over the following three months. According to him, the area has 34 banks with 290 branches. He gave the LDM instructions to guarantee that RO units be put up in 51 villages by writing special letters to the banks.

Additionally, he requested that they take action to provide certificates to participants in self-employment and financial literacy training upon completion of the course.

Only 39.34% of loans under the Standup India plan had been made by the end of the current fiscal year, according to the Collector, who also mandated that loans be approved for qualified recipients under the relevant Central and State government programs in line with the set goal.

He gave the district authorities and LDM instructions to regularly assess the bankers who are falling short of the goals of their various programs. Only three out of 109 persons have received college loans from UCO Bank; thus, a unique camp should be established to provide 100% education loans. According to Anantapur MP Ambika Lakshminarayana, banks had to strive for the district’s farmers’ well-being and provide assistance by making substantial crop loans. As part of the district’s social responsibility initiative, bankers have been invited to establish one mineral plant in each of the 51 villages; thus, all bankers are encouraged to establish RO plants. Additionally, bankers are asked to step forward and provide Central University students a minibus.

District Agriculture Officer Umamaheswaramma, District Horticulture Officer Narasimha Rao, District Industries Department JM Sridhar, Fishery DD Srinivasanayak, LDM. Narsing Rao, DRDA PD Eswaraiah, and others were in attendance.
