Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Here are our player ratings from the match.

Senne Lammens 4 – He appeared uncertain in a few key moments and really should have done much better with Everton’s equaliser. Overall, it was simply not good enough from him.

Diogo Dalot 5 – He regularly helped stretch United’s attack and pushed into advanced areas, clearly keen to influence matters in the final third. However, George gave him a tough examination, and that duel carried on without much let-up even after Jack Grealish came on.

Harry Maguire 6 – Reliable at the back and took care of his defensive duties well.

Lisandro Martinez 4 – His poor clearance ended up being expensive for George’s goal, and he will know he ought to have dealt with the situation far more convincingly.

Luke Shaw 8 – A big improvement on last weekend. He was rock-solid defensively and combined brilliantly with Rashford, making United’s left side their most threatening route in attack. He also provided the assist for Sesko’s goal.

Kobbie Mainoo 6.5 – He circulated the ball well and once again looked classy in possession.

Youri Tielemans 6.5 – He was another player who showed strong ball retention and was alert enough to cut out a few dangerous Everton moments as well. He looks sharper and fitter with each passing game.

Bruno Fernandes 5 – Apart from an early strike that crashed against the crossbar, he produced very little else. He was unable to stamp his usual authority on the contest and was guilty of giving the ball away cheaply in dangerous areas. He did partially make up for it in the move for Sesko’s goal by holding the ball long enough to allow Shaw to get into a crossing position.

Bryan Mbeumo 8 – Brilliant run and finish to put United ahead just after the restart.

Marcus Rashford 7.5 – He may not have found the net, but he was clearly United’s biggest attacking threat. He gave Rohl a torrid time, repeatedly taking him on and beating him more often than not. He also delivered some excellent balls into the box, and Everton were probably relieved to see him taken off.

Matheus Cunha 2 – United’s attacks repeatedly broke down at his feet, with his passing badly letting him down. He never really found the rhythm of the game and made matters worse with a glaring miss from point-blank range after some outstanding work from Rashford.

Patrick Dorgu 5 – He did not make much of an impact.

Benjamin Sesko 8.5 – Produced a superb headed finish to briefly put United back in front.

Leny Yoro 6 – Did okay during his time on the pitch.

Andrey Santos 6 – Much the same as Yoro.

Noussair Mazraoui 4 – At fault for Everton’s second goal.
