Scams in the name of reward points: The warning issued by PIB said, “Beware of messages coming in the name of State Bank of India. It asks customers to download an APK file to redeem reward points. It looks like the message is sent by SBI, but it is actually fake. SBI never sends links or apk files through SMS or WhatsApp. To protect yourself from fraud in such situations, do not download unknown files or click on such links. Always verify any message through SBI channel.”
