After Apple announced changes to the camera and design of the iPhone 18 Pro, Samsung reacted immediately. Samsung commented that the design of this phone looks very old and familiar. He compared the design to a version of a popular gaming series. Along with this, Samsung also requested people to leave the iPhone and switch to Samsung.

When Apple announced its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, Samsung hinted that Apple was rehashing an old idea. Samsung jokingly apologized to language learning app Duolingo for the iPhone Duo name, saying Apple copied their name. Samsung has been making foldable smartphones since 2019
