Amritsar- Additional District Magistrate Amritsar Pallavi Mishra, using the powers under Section 163 BNSS of the Indian National Security Act, 2023, has completely banned flying of drones in the rural areas of Guru Ramdas International Airport, Ajnala Road, Rajasansi, Amritsar in Amritsar district.
The order states that it has been observed that international/domestic flights are arriving and departing at the airport day and night. Therefore, there are many hotels and marriage palaces in the rural area near the airport. Where common people cover their functions through drones.
Under the cover of which any anti-social element can cause a major accident at any time. Therefore, flying drone cameras is banned in rural areas near airports to prevent such incidents. This order will remain in force till 6 November 2026.
