A significant update regarding the NEET PG 2026 answer key and results has emerged; according to reports and social media, the National Board of Examinations may release them on the official website by September 30.

A crucial update has been released for the lakhs of candidates across the country aspiring for admission to medical PG courses. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the NEET PG 2026 results and final answer key by September 30, 2026. According to the board's official schedule, September 30 has been set as the deadline for declaring the results. Although the board has not yet announced the exact date and time for the release, it is anticipated that both the final answer key and the results will be made available on the website simultaneously.

Re-examination Held in Jaipur; Over 2 Lakh Candidates Participated

The main NEET PG 2026 examination was conducted nationwide on August 30, 2026. A total of 2,65,980 candidates registered for the exam, with 2,63,535 appearing for it. The test was held at 1,111 centers across 338 cities in the country.

Meanwhile, a technical issue arose during the exam on August 30 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The examination had to be halted midway at two centers in the Sitapura area of ​​Jaipur due to a sudden power outage. Subsequently, the board decided to conduct a re-examination for the 2,445 affected candidates from these centers. This re-examination was successfully concluded on September 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

Final Answer Key to be Released Directly; No Provisional Key

Candidates who appeared for the NEET PG exam should note that the answer key to be released this time will be the final answer key, not a provisional one. This means the final answer key is being prepared only after the board's experts have reviewed all objections and suggestions submitted by candidates. Students' marks will be evaluated and the merit list prepared based on this final answer key.

Along with the results, the board will also release category-wise cut-off marks, enabling students to determine their qualifying status. Additionally, the cut-off date for completing the mandatory internship required for NEET PG eligibility has been set for September 30, 2026.
