On the occasion of Teachers' Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made several major announcements regarding the state's education system and its youth. Speaking at an event in Cuttack, he announced that 45,000 teachers would be recruited for state schools over the next three years. The government aims to address the teacher shortage while simultaneously improving the quality of education. The Chief Minister urged students to focus on their studies and careers rather than wasting time on social media and 'Reels'. He also provided details on initiatives such as free education, 'Adarsha' (model) schools, and schemes for tribal students.

**Recruitment of 45,000 Teachers in Three Years**
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi addressed teachers and students at the Teachers' Day event held at the Secondary Board High School grounds in Cuttack. He stated that the state government is preparing to fill 45,000 vacant teaching positions over the next three years. The government believes this move will alleviate the teacher shortage in schools and ensure students receive a better education.

The Chief Minister also cautioned students about the growing habit of social media usage. He advised them not to waste time watching 'Reels' or endlessly scrolling through feeds; instead, they should focus on their studies, skill development, and preparing for the future.

**Focus Ranging from Free Education to Tribal Students**
At the event, the Chief Minister paid tribute to former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and spoke about the significance of the *Guru-Shishya* (teacher-student) tradition. Teachers who had excelled in the field of education were also felicitated during the program.

**Schools to Get Modern Facilities**
Majhi highlighted the government's significant steps toward making education free from KG to PG in Odisha. Additionally, 2,200 'Godavaris Mishra Adarsha Primary Schools' are being upgraded into modern model schools at a cost of ₹12,000 crore. The state has also opened 45,000 nursery schools. Facilities such as mid-day meals and free textbooks continue to be provided to students in classes 9 and 10.

To ensure children from tribal areas continue their education, the 'Shaheed Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana' is being implemented. The scheme aims to reduce the number of students dropping out of school due to financial constraints.
