The blue colored Aparajita flower (Butterfly Pea Flower / Clitoria Ternatea), commonly known in religious rituals and herbal 'Blue Tea', is no less than an Ayurvedic boon to enhance the beauty of your skin. Aparajita has been considered a powerful anti-aging and skin-brightening element in both modern cosmetology and traditional Ayurveda. It contains abundant amounts of 'anthocyanins', flavonoids, polyphenols and vitamin C, which increase the level of collagen in the skin and protect it from damage caused by free radicals. If you also want to tighten and brighten the skin in a natural way instead of expensive chemical products, then serum and face pack made from Aparajita flower are the best option. Why is Aparajita flower special for the skin? The bioactive compounds present in Aparajita flowers are capable of eliminating many skin problems simultaneously: Collagen Boost and Anti-Aging: The antioxidants present in it maintain the elasticity of the skin, thereby reducing premature wrinkles and fine lines on the face. Relief from blemishes and pigmentation: It improves sun tanning, dark spots and uneven skin tone by controlling excessive production of melanin. Soothe acne and irritation: Its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties eliminate acne-causing bacteria and reduce facial redness and swelling. Deep Hydration and Natural Toning: It strengthens the skin barrier by locking in the skin's natural moisture. 1. Make Aparajita Face Serum at home (DIY Aparajita Face Serum) This serum is very effective for toning the skin, tightening open pores and bringing natural glow to the face. Ingredients required: 8-10 fresh or dried Aparajita flowers Half cup pure rose water or distilled water 2 teaspoons pure aloe vera gel 1 capsule Vitamin E oil 3-4 drops almond oil or jojoba oil (optional) Method of preparation: Half cup rose water or lukewarm water and soak the Aparajita flower petals in it for 15 to 20 minutes, until the water turns dark blue. After this, filter this blue extract and take it out in a clean glass bowl. Now add 2 spoons of fresh aloe vera gel, 1 vitamin E capsule oil and 3-4 drops of almond oil. Whisk all the ingredients well so that it becomes a smooth serum-like consistency. Store it in a glass bottle with a dropper in the refrigerator (it remains safe for 10-12 days). Method of use: Every night after washing the face, apply 3-4 drops on the face and neck and massage by dabbing gently. 2. Aparajita Face Pack for Glowing Skin (DIY Face Pack) This face pack is very beneficial in removing tanning and giving instant glow to the face. Ingredients required: 5-6 fresh Aparajita flowers (or 1 teaspoon Aparajita powder) 1 teaspoon gram flour or rice flour Half teaspoon pure honey 1-2 teaspoons raw milk or fresh curd Method: Mix Aparajita petals with a little raw milk and grind them finely in a mixer or mortar. Mix 1 teaspoon gram flour and half teaspoon honey in this paste. Mix all the ingredients and prepare a smooth and thick paste. Method of use: Wash the face with clean water, dry it and apply this pack evenly on the face and neck. Let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently massage in circular motion and wash with fresh water. It can be used twice a week. Important precautions before use: Although Aparajita is completely natural, still if your skin is very sensitive or you have allergy problem with pollens and flowers, then do a patch test on the wrist or behind the ear before applying it on the entire face. Use it regularly only if there is no irritation or itching for 24 hours.
