On Monday evening, a new frontrunner emerged in the early battle for Spain's top-flight golden boot, with Raphinha moving to the top following events in Barcelona's meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
Hansi Flick's reigning La Liga champions were back in action a short while ago, hosting Rayo in the Catalan capital as they looked to make it three straight wins at the start of their title defence.
In the end, that is exactly what Barcelona achieved, sealing a 5-2 victory.
Captain Raphinha once again stood out as one of the key performers. After an outstanding personal start to the campaign in his new role at centre-forward, the Brazil international was named in the starting line-up again on Monday.
The former Leeds United player delivered a superb brace, first getting past his marker before calmly finishing into the far corner early in the match, and then meeting Anthony Gordon's intelligent assist to find the bottom corner once more after the break.
That latest return takes Raphinha to five goals in his opening three appearances of the La Liga season. It also means he has gone past Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé to claim sole possession of first place in the Pichichi race.
