Actually, a low pressure area is forming in North-West Bay of Bengal and surrounding areas. Therefore, within the next 24 hours, the monsoon is likely to move north-westwards through West Bengal and adjoining Ganga plains. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Odisha and Chhattisgarh. There is also an alert of heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

A low pressure area is also forming over East Madhya Pradesh, due to which it will be visible at isolated places in East Uttar Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh, and there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain. Sea condition is likely to be very rough along northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and along the coasts of West Bengal, Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and West Bengal-Orissa and north Andhra Pradesh coasts on August 25.

Alert in these 25 states of India
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of torrential rain across 25 states on August 25. The names of these 25 states are Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Delhi NCR
Delhi (25th August- Torrential rain alert): There is a warning of torrential rain in Delhi tomorrow i.e. 25th August 2026. Exactly the same as happened a day earlier i.e. on 24th August. During this period, dark clouds may also appear. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, stormy winds are also expected during this period. Wind speed can reach 60 Kmph. The maximum temperature in Delhi tomorrow i.e. on August 25 is likely to be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 28 degrees Celsius.

Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh (August 25-Thunderstorm Alert): There is a warning of torrential rain in Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Mathura, Kanpur, Jhansi, Etawah, Sonbhadra, Bijnor, Lalitpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad. In Lucknow tomorrow i.e. on 25th August, the maximum temperature can be 31 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be 27 degree Celsius. There are chances of rain in the capital also.

Bihar
Bihar (August 25 – Stormy rain warning): There is a stormy rain alert in Lakhisarai, Madhubani, Bhagalpur, Kishanganj, Purnia, Begusarai, Vaishali, Jehanabad, Siwan, Darbhanga and Buxar. During this period, wind can blow at a speed of 50 Kmph. In Patna tomorrow i.e. on 25th August, the maximum temperature is expected to be 33 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 28 degree Celsius.

Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh (August 25 – Torrential rain alert): Stormy rains are expected in Narsinghpur, Ujjain, Dhar, Datia, Khandwa, Mandla, Ratlam, Alirajpur, Seoni, Narmadapuram, Shivpuri, Sidhi and Khargone. Wind can blow at a speed of 45 to 50 kilometers. In Bhopal tomorrow i.e. on 25th August, the maximum temperature can be 27 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be 24 degree Celsius.

Rajasthan
Rajasthan (August 25 – Thunderstorm warning): There is a warning of rain with thunderstorm in Sriganganagar, Pali, Karauli, Baran, Deeg, Churu, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Balotra, Kota, Rajsamand, Hanumangarh, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Udaipur and Bikaner. Here the wind can blow at a speed of 45 to 50 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Jaipur tomorrow i.e. on 25th August will be 32 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature can reach 27 degrees Celsius.

Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh (August 25 – Torrential rain warning): There is a warning of torrential rain in Lahaul-Spiti, Bilaspur, Kangra, Una, Kullu, Solan, Hamirpur, Mandi, Una and Kangra. Winds can blow at a speed of 60 to 70 Kmph in these districts. The maximum temperature in Shimla tomorrow i.e. on August 25 is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 19 degrees Celsius.
