**Which students are eligible?**
In addition to India, students from Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Nigeria, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam may also be eligible for the scholarship. Applicants must be permanent residents of one of these countries or regions, or have been residing there for the past three years.

Furthermore, the student must be self-funding their studies and be classified as an 'overseas student' under the university's fee categories. The student is required to enroll in and complete a full-time postgraduate program at the University of Sheffield.

**Scholarship not available for these courses**
Not all postgraduate programs are covered under this scholarship scheme. Students enrolled in postgraduate diploma and certificate courses, online or distance learning programs, Crossways, and Erasmus Mundus programs are not eligible for this. Courses involving high additional clinical fees are also excluded.

For two-year master's programs, the scholarship is awarded only during the second year. Therefore, students should verify the eligibility criteria regarding their chosen course and fee category before enrolling.
