Automobile Desk – Maruti Baleno Facelift: Maruti Suzuki Baleno, which has made its own identity in the Indian automobile market, is preparing to launch in a new avatar soon. This news is very special for car lovers and especially for premium hatchback buyers. The leaks and media reports of the new Baleno seen during testing on the roads clearly show that the company is going to make it much more hi-tech and safer than before. If you are also planning to buy a new car, then the new features of this car, which is likely to be launched on September 5, may catch your attention.
The biggest attraction of this new facelift model is going to be its gearbox and fuel combination. Maruti is known for its CNG cars, but till now the CNG models lacked an automatic gearbox. The new Baleno can fill this gap. It can be given the option of AMT gearbox with CNG version of 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. On CNG mode, this engine will be able to generate power of approximately 77.5 PS and torque of 98.5 Nm, which will make driving without clutch very easy in city traffic.
The comfort and luxury inside the cabin is also being taken to a new level. Keeping in mind the Indian summer, the feature of ventilated front seats can be added to the new Ballino. This feature will make the driving experience very comfortable in long distance journeys. Apart from this, for entertainment, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system can be seen instead of the current 9-inch. This new screen not only looks great, but it will also support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
To keep the cabin wire-free and clean, a wireless phone charging pad will also be provided. This means that now the phone will be charged without the hassle of cables and the infotainment will also remain connected. In terms of security, the company is going to play its biggest bet in the form of 'Level 1 ADAS'. Its top variants are likely to get advanced safety features like rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot warning and safe exit alert, which will reduce the risk of accidents on busy roads and highways.
Not only the features, freshness will also be seen in the external look of the car. A new grill design, new headlamp cluster and chrome finishing work will be seen in the front. New alloy wheels in the side profile and re-designed bumper in the rear profile will give it a sporty look.
