Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal worth £85m with Manchester City for winger Savinho.

The transfer will take Spurs’ outlay this summer beyond £300m and will make the Brazilian the biggest sale in Manchester City’s history.

The package is made up of an initial £75m plus £10m in add-ons, with £5m of those bonuses guaranteed, meaning City are certain to receive at least £80m.

Spurs, who have also been in discussions over Omar Marmoush, could yet complete a double swoop from Manchester City.

Savinho is set to become one of the three most expensive signings in Tottenham’s history, all of whom have been brought in by Roberto De Zerbi this summer following Mateus Fernandes’ £85m arrival from West Ham and Sandro Tonali’s £100m move from Newcastle.

They have also paid Brighton £52m for defender Jan Paul van Hecke and signed Martin Dubravka, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers, while a possible move for Marmoush, who cost City £59m in January 2025, could send their total spending close to £400m.

Savinho has generated a major profit for City after joining from their sister club Troyes for £30.8m in 2024. Although he never played for the French side, he helped Girona — another club within the City Football Group — qualify for the Champions League during a loan spell in Spain.

He scored seven goals in 84 appearances for City, but managed only two in the Premier League and lost his place after the January arrival of Antoine Semenyo.

City are looking at Palmeiras winger Allan as a replacement, while Savinho’s departure will lift their transfer income this summer to about £235m, with Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders, Nathan Ake and James Trafford having already left.
