Manchester United are among the Premier League sides to have been made aware of Endrick’s uncertain position at Real Madrid, with TEAMtalk reporting that the Brazilian forward’s representatives have reached out across England while exploring a possible transfer.

The 20-year-old is understood to be reassessing his situation after growing increasingly uneasy about his path to regular first-team football at the Bernabeu. As per the report, Endrick returned to Madrid expecting to build on what was described as a productive loan spell at Lyon and make a strong push for a bigger role. That belief had been strengthened by impressive performances in France, his place in Brazil’s World Cup squad and the feeling that he was ready to establish himself at the highest level.

Instead, the outlook now appears to have changed. Real Madrid have increased competition in attacking areas by bringing in Carlos Espi as a back-up striker, agreeing a deal worth more than £100million for Yan Diomande and tying Vinicius Junior down to a new long-term contract. From Endrick’s point of view, that has seemingly made the situation far more complicated.

As outlined by TEAMtalk, “Endrick’s representatives, together with intermediaries, have begun their due diligence on a possible move, with England emerging as the player’s preferred destination should he leave Spain.” That detail feels particularly important. A move to the Premier League was something the player had seriously considered before joining Real Madrid, and that attraction has evidently remained strong.

The report further states that “a number of clubs have now been contacted”, with Chelsea once again informed of the situation because of their long-standing admiration for the player. More significantly for United fans, TEAMtalk says Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham have all held discussions regarding the Brazil international.

That is a sizeable list and highlights the level of the opportunity. Endrick is still regarded as one of the most exciting young forwards in world football, and any indication that he might be available was always likely to prompt widespread checks from top English clubs.

The main issue now appears to be the structure of any deal. TEAMtalk says, “Real’s preference would be another straight loan, similar to the arrangement that saw him spend last season at Lyon, and crucially without any purchase option.” That point could end up shaping the entire market.

It is also reported that Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham would be willing to work within that framework. By contrast, “Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all made it clear that they would only seriously consider a move if it included an option to buy.” In practical terms, that suggests United’s interest is genuine, but dependent on the deal terms.

There is sound logic behind that position. Clubs operating at the top end of the Premier League are becoming increasingly cautious about committing wages, development time and squad space to a player they may never be able to keep. If Endrick shines, an option to buy provides protection. Without it, the club taking him on loan carries much of the short-term risk while receiving limited long-term benefit.

Despite the increasing noise around the player, Real Madrid still remain in control. That is significant, because support from the club president can often slow down or complicate any temporary departure.

Even so, “the interest from England is genuine, confirmed and growing.” For Manchester United, that keeps them firmly in the mix for a high-upside attacking talent, even if the eventual chances of a move may depend on whether Real relax their current loan-only stance.

From a Manchester United supporter’s point of view, this is exactly the kind of development that will generate intrigue. Endrick is an elite young talent, and if there is any genuine chance of bringing him to Old Trafford, United should absolutely be watching closely. The line that stands out most is that United would “only seriously consider a move if it included an option to buy.” That feels both sensible and encouraging.
