MPESB Group 2 Vacancy 2026: The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal, has released the official rulebook for the Group-2 Sub-Group-4 Combined Recruitment Examination 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 2,106 posts across various departments, including the position of Patwari (Executive). The online application process began on August 4, 2026, and interested, eligible candidates can apply until August 18, 2026.

**Who can apply?**
Applicants must be Indian citizens. Permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh will be eligible for reservation benefits and age limit relaxations in accordance with state government rules.

**Educational Qualifications**

For the post of Patwari, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Additionally, a valid CPCT (Computer Proficiency and Certification Test) score card—covering Hindi typing and computer proficiency—is required.
However, if a selected candidate does not possess the CPCT qualification at the time of appointment, they must acquire it within three years of their appointment.

Educational qualifications for other posts vary depending on the specific position. Some posts require a computer diploma, while others mandate a bachelor's degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce.

**What is the Salary?**
For the Patwari post, the pay scale is ₹5,200–₹20,200 with a grade pay of ₹2,100.

Salaries for other posts will vary according to the specific position. Some officer-level posts fall under the Level-8 pay scale (₹32,800–₹1,03,600), while assistant-level posts fall under the Level-4 pay scale (₹19,500–₹62,000).

Candidates selected through direct recruitment will receive a stipend during the three-year probation period: 70% of the minimum salary in the first year, 80% in the second year, and 90% in the third year. Regular salary payments will commence after the successful completion of the probation period.

**Selection Process**
Candidates will be selected through a computer-based online written examination.

General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks to be included in the merit list. A minimum of 40% marks has been prescribed for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and differently-abled categories.

A merit list will be prepared following the written examination. Subsequently, the concerned department will verify the candidates' academic, technical, and other documents. Appointment orders will be issued once the documents are found to be valid.

Medical fitness is also mandatory.
Candidates will undergo a medical examination before final selection. Physical and mental fitness is a prerequisite for appointment. The appointment process will be completed only after the candidate is declared fit by the medical board.

Exam Pattern
The recruitment examination will consist of a single paper worth 200 marks. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
