IND vs ZIM 1st T20 Playing XI Preview: The first match of the three-match T20 series between India and Zimbabwe will be played on July 23 at Harare Sports Club. In this match, the pair of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma can be seen opening the Indian innings. Apart from this, two Indian players may get a chance to make their T20 International debut in this match.

Team India has entered this series with its young bowling brigade. Talking about the spin department, along with the experienced Ravi Bishnoi, who had faded during the England tour, Harsh Dubey is also in the race for T20 International debut. Harsh had earlier made his international debut for India during the ODI series against Afghanistan.

Yash or Ashok: Who will get the debut cap?

Apart from Prince Yadav and Mayank Yadav, the Indian fast bowling attack includes two new faces – Ashok Sharma and Yash Thakur, who have been selected in the national team for the first time. Either one or both of them may get the debut cap in the first match. However, if captain Shreyas Iyer prefers experience (as Prince and Mayank already have some experience), then there is a high possibility that only one new player will get a chance in the pace attack.

Yash Thakur is known for his variations (variety of balls). He has performed brilliantly for Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in IPL. On the other hand, Ashok Sharma has excellent pace. Recently, in the triangular series against Sri Lanka ‘A’, Yash had bowled lethally for India ‘A’, while Ashok Sharma was also a part of the team in that series. In such a situation, considering the workload and rotation policy, there is full hope that both of them will get their respective debut caps during this series.

Tadivanashe Marumani (wk), Brian Bennett, Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza (captain), Ryan Burl, Wesley Madhewere, Milton Shumba, Wellington Mashakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarwa, Tanaka Chiwanga/Newman Nyamhuri.
