Interest Transferred to 34 Crore Accounts
The EPFO has credited the interest for the 2025-26 financial year to approximately 34 crore accounts in a single day. Following approval from the Central Government, the EPFO implemented an interest rate of 8.25% for this financial year. This means the interest credited to accounts has been calculated based on this rate. Previously, employees often had to wait until October or November to receive EPF interest, but this time, the funds have arrived much earlier.
How to Check Your EPF Account?
- To do this, follow these steps:
- First, visit the EPFO Member Passbook Portal.
- Enter your UAN.
- Enter your password and the captcha code.
- Click on 'Sign In'.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Navigate to the passbook section.
- Select your Member ID.
- Your PF passbook will appear on the screen.
- You will be able to see the interest credited for the 2025-26 financial year here.
Check EPF interest using the UMANG app
- To do this, download the UMANG app on your mobile.
- After logging in, search for 'EPFO' within the app and select it.
- Next, go to 'Employee Centric Services'.
- Then, click on the 'View Passbook' option.
- Enter your UAN and click on 'Get OTP'.
- After entering the OTP, select your Member ID.
- Once you have done this, your passbook will open.
