Manchester United are once again weighing up a move for Carlos Baleba, with Brighton & Hove Albion reportedly ready to reconsider their £100 million asking price for the midfielder.

Following the exit of Casemiro and the injury setback to Manuel Ugarte, the Red Devils are keen to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season. The club appear to have already secured a deal for Andrey Santos from Chelsea, but further reinforcements are being explored.

Baleba, who enjoyed a standout campaign with Brighton last year, was previously linked with several major European clubs, including Manchester United. However, his form has dipped somewhat over the past twelve months, and he has occasionally found himself out of the Seagulls’ starting lineup.

Despite that, observers believe the young midfielder still possesses significant potential, and United continue to monitor his situation closely. As per a report from Football Insider, the Old Trafford side remain interested in bringing him to Manchester.

Brighton are said to be open to reducing their initial £100 million valuation, a move that could reignite interest from multiple clubs, not least Manchester United. It remains to be seen how much of a discount the south coast side are prepared to offer, but developments are expected once the Santos transfer is finalised.

Elsewhere, Raphinha has been linked with a possible move away from Barcelona, with the Brazilian winger entering the final two years of his contract at Camp Nou.
