Franck Kessie, who enjoyed a highly productive stint in Serie A with AC Milan, could be on the verge of returning to Italy, and Juventus are emerging as strong contenders to secure his signature.
The Bianconeri, often referred to as the Old Lady, have Ricky Massara serving as their sporting director. According to reports from Alfredo Pedulla, Massara might play a decisive role in facilitating Kessie’s transfer.
During his tenure at AC Milan, Massara had the opportunity to observe the Ivorian midfielder closely and developed a good understanding of his abilities. He also maintains an excellent relationship with Kessie’s agent—an advantage neither Damien Comolli nor Cristiano Giuntoli possessed.
Juventus had reportedly engaged in preliminary discussions with Kessie’s representatives back in January, though those talks took place under a different management setup. With new leadership now in place, the dynamics have shifted, and it remains to be seen if Kessie would be interested in a Serie A comeback with Juventus. However, Massara’s influence could prove pivotal, especially considering that he previously sought to bring Kessie to AS Roma during his time there.
