Jaipur - On Saturday, Chief Secretary V. Srinivasan conducted a review of the progress of the IPD Tower project at SMS Medical College, Jaipur, along with the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. During the meeting, he assessed various aspects related to construction, finance, administration, and operations, instructing all departments to complete their tasks within the set timelines.
The Chief Secretary emphasized that the IPD Tower is a crucial initiative for strengthening the state's healthcare services. He directed the relevant departments and agencies to expedite the resolution of pending issues through effective coordination.
To ensure the IPD Tower becomes fully operational soon, he called for a timely action plan regarding necessary medical equipment, human resources, parking, traffic management, access routes, and other essential arrangements. He also stressed the importance of maintaining construction quality and safety standards, along with regular monitoring.
The meeting reviewed the current status of the project, the services already initiated at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, remaining tasks, and compliance with directives from the previous review meeting.
Present at the meeting were the Principal Secretary of Medical and Health, Mrs. Gayatri A. Rathod, Commissioner of Medical Education, Babu Lal Goyal, Joint Secretary of Medical Education, Dr. Jyoti Chauhan, along with the Additional Chief Secretary of Urban Development and Housing, Alok Gupta, Principal Secretary of Finance, Mr. Vaibhav Gahlot, Commissioner of Jaipur Development Authority, Siddharth Mahajan, and Principal and Controller of SMS Medical College, Dr. Deepak Maheshwari, who participated via video conferencing.
