melbourne [ऑस्ट्रेलिया]July 10 (ANI): In a major cinematic collaboration between India and Australia, Aamir Khan Productions has announced the collaboration of Melbourne-based production house 'Mind Blowing Films' to produce the film 'Silkyara 41', which will be directed by Kabir Khan. The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) shared the announcement of 'Silkyara 41' on its Instagram handle on Friday.
According to a press note released by the filmmakers, the feature film is inspired by the extraordinary rescue operation that took place in the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand, India, and the remarkable role played by internationally renowned tunneling expert and local Victorian hero, Arnold Dix. The film will be written by Australian screenwriter Andrew Anastasios.

IFFM shared pictures from the event, featuring Aamir Khan and Kabir Khan, which marks the first collaboration of the actor and filmmaker. The Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand made headlines in 2023 when a collapse caused by broken rock and water seepage left 41 construction workers trapped inside for 17 days.
