Manchester United are reportedly preparing to officially unveil two new signings this Friday — goalkeeper Karl Darlow and midfielder Andrey Santos.

The Red Devils have been highly active in the summer transfer market, moving swiftly to strengthen their midfield options and make adjustments in their goalkeeping department.

As per transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Andrey Santos has now successfully completed his medical tests in Manchester ahead of his move from Chelsea.

The Brazilian midfielder is expected to sign his contract on Friday morning, following the completion of all necessary paperwork between both clubs.

Manchester United have reached an agreement valued at £50 million for the 22-year-old, with Chelsea including a 10% sell-on clause as part of the deal.

Santos will sign a long-term contract that runs until June 2031, with the club holding an option to extend it for an additional year.

Romano confirmed the transfer with his trademark “here we go” announcement, also noting that 35-year-old Karl Darlow will put pen to paper on his official contract on Friday.

Darlow joins United on a free transfer and will act as the main homegrown backup to starting goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

The arrival of the experienced Premier League shot-stopper enables a reshuffle within the squad, paving the way for Altay Bayindir to finalise his departure. The Turkish goalkeeper has been strongly linked with a move back to Turkey, with Besiktas currently leading the pursuit.

Beyond the imminent double signing, Manchester United are close to securing a third addition to their squad this window.

Atalanta midfielder Ederson is undergoing his medical assessments with United after the club reached an agreement with the Serie A side.

The total transfer package agreed with the Italian club stands at €44 million (£38.8 million).

According to Romano, the club’s hierarchy expects the results of the 26-year-old’s medical evaluation soon. If the Brazilian midfielder successfully completes his tests, he will become United’s third summer signing, further bolstering manager Michael Carrick’s midfield overhaul.

The potential signings of Andrey Santos and Ederson mark a strong statement of intent from Manchester United, as the club focuses on adding energy, physicality, and technical quality in central areas ahead of the new season and their return to UEFA Champions League competition.
