Zenvo Automotive, the Danish marque once recognised for its distinctive tilting rear wing mechanism, first announced its ambitious plan to produce a V-12 hypercar in 2023. After three years of intensive development, the company has now officially revealed the production-ready version of that project—the Zenvo Aurora Tur—featuring an extraordinary 1850-horsepower hybrid powertrain.
According to the manufacturer, the Aurora Tur units unveiled this week are validation prototypes, representing the final stage before full-scale production begins. Zenvo describes this vehicle as its most significant creation to date. Two of these prototypes are scheduled to appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England this weekend, accompanied by a Zenvo Aurora Agil show car, which will also be showcased during the event.
The Aurora Tur variant showcased here is designed to serve as a grand tourer, offering a more refined and luxurious driving experience compared to its sibling, the Aurora Agil. The Agil, on the other hand, is a road-legal hypercar with a stronger focus on track performance and agility. Despite their differing purposes, both models share the same platform, which has been engineered entirely in-house by Zenvo specifically for the Aurora series.
Although Zenvo has not yet confirmed the final performance figures for the production version, the company reiterates that the bespoke quad-turbocharged V-12 engine developed in partnership with MAHLE is expected to produce 1250 horsepower on its own. When paired with a three-motor hybrid system, the total system output is targeted at 1850 horsepower. The manufacturer estimates a top speed of 260 miles per hour, a 0–62 mph acceleration time of just 2.3 seconds, and an astonishing sprint to 249 mph in approximately 17 seconds. Production of the Aurora Tur will be strictly limited to 50 units, suggesting that customer allocations are likely to be claimed very quickly.
