For years, many automobile enthusiasts in the United States have wondered when they would finally be able to experience one of Stellantis’s creations in what the company describes as the rapidly expanding micromobility segment.
That moment has now arrived.
The Fiat Topolino, a compact and endearing vehicle positioned somewhere between a golf cart and a city car, officially made its debut in the American market on Tuesday. Priced at $14,985, which includes a $990 destination charge, the Topolino offers a distinctive Italian charm in a small package. The vehicle features seating for two, a driving range of 46 miles, a top speed of 19 miles per hour, and an output of eight horsepower.

Currently, customers in the U.S. have limited configuration options. Buyers can choose between the standard version of the Topolino with traditional doors or opt for the “Dolce Vita” edition, which features a sliding convertible roof and rope-style door substitutes. Additional personalization will be available through the official third-party customisation specialist, Motori & Customs. According to Stellantis, this partner will deliver “fully bespoke, tailor-made customization services” for buyers seeking an appearance beyond the standard green-and-black finish.

While the Fiat Topolino may not be the most practical option for tasks beyond what a golf cart or an electric bicycle can handle, it certainly stands out as one of the most charming ways to travel short distances within local neighborhoods. The vehicle is not yet street-legal in its standard form; however, a conversion kit is expected to be released by the end of this summer. This upgrade will increase the top speed to 25 miles per hour, enabling it to be classified and legally driven as a “Low Speed Vehicle.”

With a limited batch of Topolinos already having reached the U.S., interested buyers may want to contact participating dealerships soon to secure one of Fiat’s most intriguing and playful new models to arrive in America in recent years.
