There couldn't have been a better way for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to register his global debut. Bare minutes after he officially etched his name in the registers as the youngest male international cricketer for India, the 15-year-old also announced himself in some style by dispatching Jofra Archer for a mighty six in the second T20I at the Old Trafford Ground, in Manchester.
Given his first India cap at 15 years and 99 days, the teenager surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar to become the youngest male international to play for India.
Playing agianst his Rajasthan Royals teammate Archer, added yet another dimension to the contest. The two have been in the same dressing room at the IPL, but certainly there were no apprehensions when they clashed in the international colours.
Dream Start Against Rajasthan Royals Teammate
Vaibhav quickly demonstrated his fearless style.
On the 1st ball from Archer that he faced, the 15-year-old left-hander, stepped away to the right, got underneath the ball, and flicked it over the keeper for the six.
His first shot fired up the crowd and reminded everyone why he is one of India's most talented young batters.

He then continued his fearless approach against Josh Tongue, hammering him for a mammoth six in the very next over. However, his debut innings lasted just 10 balls as Will Jacks got the wicket of the young lad at a score of 14. Although, he could not extend his innings on debut, the southpaw has shown a glimpse of his game that he will be playing at this level.

History Before the First Boundary
Vaibhav had already made a mark in the record books even before he hit his first six on the international level.
At 15 years and 99 days, he broke into the Indian International squad, becoming both the youngest test international for India and the youngest Indian to play international cricket, beating Sachin Tendulkar, who first played for India when he was 16 years and 205 days in test cricket and 16 years and 238 days in a one-day international.
During his debut, he also became the youngest-ever T20I debutant for India, surpassing Washington Sundar's record of 2017.
The young batter proved himself after a superb IPL stint, where his flamboyance with the bat made him one of the hottest prospects in world cricket.
His first six in international cricket just about summed up why the selectors had so much faith in him. Bashing the fastest of England's (and his IPL teammate's!) bowlers over the ropes is the ideal start to what Indian supporters can expect will be a lengthy and fruitful international career.
