According to religious experts, devotees should chant mantras on this day, with the effect of which people’s sins can be erased. When is Yogini Ekadashi?

According to Hindu calendar, Yogini Ekadashi tithi will start on July 9 at 07:46 PM. After this this date will end on July 10 at 04:52 pm. The rising date of this festival is 10th July, hence devotees should keep fast on 10th July.

What to do on Yogini Ekadashi?

1. On the day of Yogini Ekadashi, take bath early in the morning, after that take a pledge to fast.

2. Wear clean yellow colored clothes on this day. Worship God properly. Offer yellow flowers and yellow sweets during the puja, because yellow is considered to be the favorite color of God.
3. After worshiping at home, offer water to the Peepal tree.
4.On this day, chant the mantra of God ‘Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Chant ‘Hare Ram Hare Ram, Ram Ram Hare Hare’.
Donate food to needy people on this day.

 

What not to do?

1.Rice should not be consumed on the day of Yogini Ekadashi.
2.Don’t misbehave with others.
3.Avoid consuming meat and alcohol on Yogini Ekadashi.
4.Do not cut hair and nails on this day. Also, devotees should try not to sleep during the day.
5. Tulsi leaves should not be plucked on the day of Yogini Ekadashi.
