New Delhi. A conspiracy to topple the Joseph Vijay-led TVK government in Tamil Nadu has been revealed. TVK MLA N. Ilaiyaraaja has filed a complaint with the police in which he claimed that he was offered Rs 35 crore by a consultancy firm to destabilize the government and vote against the government on a legislative proposal. Based on the complaint of TVK MLA, the police have registered a case and arrested three people associated with the consultancy firm. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly.

According to NDTV report, TVK MLA N. Ilaiyaraaja said that a person named Thirunavukkarasu contacted him. He told that he runs an opinion polling organization named ‘Indian Political Democratic Strategies’ (IPDS). He also told that he is contacting the leaders of a political party at their behest. He asked for special voting in the no-confidence motion in the House against Assembly Speaker and TVK leader JCD Prabhakar and offered Rs 35 crore in return. Threats were also issued for non-compliance and for keeping the conversation secret. Apart from this, a plan to topple the government by getting the resignation of 15 TVK MLAs together was also involved.

The police have arrested Thirunavukkarasu as well as Naresh and Thiagarajan. Investigation has revealed that V. Ashok Kumar, brother of the current Coimbatore South MLA V. Senthil Balaji, who was a minister in the DMK government, had met Naresh in Chennai. In this way, the strings of this matter seem to be connected to DMK.
