The positive movement came despite markets remaining closed on Friday for Muharram, while benchmark indices extended their winning streak in the previous session amid easing crude oil prices and selective buying across heavyweight stocks.
ICICI Bank Records Biggest Jump
ICICI Bank registered the largest increase in market value among the top companies, adding Rs.29,588.75 crore during the week. The lender's total market capitalization climbed to Rs.9.95 lakh crore.
HDFC Bank also posted a strong performance, with its valuation rising by Rs.24,718.3 crore to Rs.12.25 lakh crore, retaining its position as India's second most valuable listed company.
Reliance, SBI and Bajaj Finance Also Gain
Reliance Industries continued to strengthen its market leadership, adding Rs.12,043.96 crore to reach a market capitalization of Rs.17.84 lakh crore.
Other notable gainers included:
State Bank of India (SBI): Up Rs.9,322.93 crore to Rs.9.65 lakh crore.
Bajaj Finance: Added Rs.11,580.28 crore, taking its valuation to Rs.6.10 lakh crore.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T): Registered a modest gain of Rs.1,423.88 crore, pushing its market value to Rs.5.81 lakh crore.
LIC, HUL Among Biggest Losers
Not all heavyweight stocks ended the week on a positive note.
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) suffered the sharpest decline in valuation, losing Rs.21,188.74 crore to end the week with a market capitalization of Rs.5.36 lakh crore.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL) also witnessed a drop of Rs.5,321.83 crore, bringing its market value down to Rs.5.11 lakh crore.
Other companies that ended the week in the red included Bharti Airtel and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
Reliance Retains Top Spot
Despite the weekly fluctuations, the ranking of India's most valuable companies remained largely unchanged.

Markets Extend Winning Momentum
Indian equity markets closed higher on Thursday before the Muharram holiday. The BSE Sensex ended 109.25 points, or 0.14%, higher at 77,100.47, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 34.35 points, or 0.14%, to settle at 24,056.
