New Delhi: The National Testing Agency declared the CUET UG 2026 result on Tuesday, June 23. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official portal using their application number and password.
This year, 15,68,867 students registered for the university entrance examination and 11,64,098 appeared. The computer-based test was held from May 11 to 31, followed by rescheduled papers on June 6 and 7.
How to download CUET UG 2026 scorecardStudents can follow these steps:
Candidates should retain a digital and printed copy since universities may ask for it during admission.
CUET UG 2026 result in numbersThe examination covered 37 subjects, including 13 languages, 23 subject papers and one General Aptitude Test. Students could select up to five papers.
One candidate secured the 100 percentile in four subjects. Twenty-two students achieved it in three subjects, 180 in two subjects and 3,214 in one subject.
Female participation recorded a clear rise. Of the 7,74,607 female candidates who registered, 5,85,596 appeared. Among male candidates, 7,94,257 registered and 5,78,500 took the test.
What happens after the result?NTA does not prepare a common merit list or conduct counselling for every university. Its role ends with conducting the examination and issuing scorecards.
Each of the 244 participating universities will prepare its own merit list, cut-off and seat allocation schedule. Students seeking admission to Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University or another institution must separately register on that university’s admission portal.
That small step matters. A CUET scorecard alone does not automatically place a student in the admission queue.
Candidates should now check university websites regularly for registration dates, course rules, document requirements and counselling notices.
