Moradabad. The campus of Tirthankar Mahavir University (TMU) located in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh was completely colored in the colors of Bollywood on Monday, when suddenly the ‘Khiladi’ fame Akshay Kumar’s flying boat landed there. Even the scorching sun and scorching heat could not dampen the enthusiasm of the students. The occasion was the promotion of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming most awaited comedy film Welcome to the Jungle. Akshay Kumar, who reached TMU for the first time with his star cast, was given a historic welcome by the university administration and thousands of students.
Actually, the entire team of the film had reached the campus in connection with a special program. As soon as the helicopter of Akshay Kumar, Akshara Singh, Disha Patani and Rajpal Yadav landed at the helipad of TMU at around 11:10 pm, the entire campus echoed with slogans of ‘Akshay-Akshay’. From the helipad, all the stars directly reached ‘Samvriddhi’, the residence of Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain, where they were given a very warm welcome.
When the Chancellor sent ₹250 to the students’ account
During this entire event, a very interesting incident was seen on the stage. TMU Chancellor Suresh Jain requested Akshay Kumar to start the promotion of each of his films from here and this university belongs to him. On this, ‘Khiladi’ Kumar immediately agreed with a smile, but also put an interesting condition. Akshay said, “I will definitely come, but you promise that the film Welcome to the Jungle will be shown to these thousands of children on your behalf.” Without wasting any time, the Chancellor also took the mike and announced that ₹ 250 would be credited to the account of every student of the university for watching the film. As soon as this announcement was made, the entire pandal echoed with thunderous applause and whistles.
Akshay said- There is no word ‘retirement’ in my dictionary.
When the question-answer round started on stage, a fan asked Akshay the secret of his endless energy. On this the 58 year old actor gave a big mantra of life to the youth. He said, “There is no word ‘retired’ in my life. My real strength is to always work. I work fearlessly without any fear.”
Along with this, Akshay explained the importance of parents to the students and said that if you really want to progress in life, then serve your parents, because the real heaven lies at their feet. When a student questioned his disciplined lifestyle, Akshay said, “Yes, I am also a follower of Jainism. My daily routine is very disciplined. I wake up much before sunrise and have my dinner before sunset as per Jain tradition.”
Dance with Disha Patani and Akshara Singh, Rajpal Yadav sets the tone
In this explosive event which lasted for about 50 minutes, the stars created a lot of magic on the stage. As soon as Akshay Kumar called Bhojpuri queen Akshara Singh on the stage, the crowd went out of control. Both of them did a tremendous live dance on the latest Bhojpuri track ‘Ghis-Ghis’ of the film. After this, it was the turn of Bareilly based Bollywood actress Disha Patani. Referring to the local connection, Akshay said, “Disha is from your Bareilly only.” After this, both of them danced on the song ‘Ek Uncha Lamba Kad’ and tied the knot.
The desi color on the stage deepened when famous comedian Rajpal Yadav, resident of Shahjahanpur, took the mike. Describing himself as a local, he said, “I live just 150 kilometers away from here, hence I have a close relationship with TMU.” Rajpal made everyone laugh by calling Akshay as ‘big Colgate’ and himself as ‘free little Colgate’. Akshay also praised Rajpal and said that he is very lucky to have him.
This multi-starrer comedy film starring about three dozen small and big actors welcome to the jungle It is ready to be released in theaters across the country on June 26. At the end of the program, Akshay Kumar also took a memorable selfie from the stage with the entire campus and Chancellor Suresh Jain, GVC Manish Jain, ED Akshat Jain and Ms. Nandini Jain.
