Congress organized ‘Sankalp Samavesh’ program in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Senior party leaders including party national president Mallikarjun Kharge, CM DK Shivakumar, former CM Siddaramaiah and Randeep Surjewala participated in the program. President Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the huge public meeting. But meanwhile the slogans of ‘DK-DK’ angered Kharge.
He said that footage of those raising slogans is available. Disciplinary action will be taken after identification. No individual is worshiped in Congress. This is not the program of any one person, but of the party. On the other hand, CM DK Shivakumar immediately intervened and signaled his supporters to remain calm.
You are doing useless things: Kharge
Mallikarjun Kharge said, ‘Will creating noise here have any impact on the entire country? This is not the program of any one person, it is the program of the party. You people are doing useless things… No person is worshiped here. We are here for the party event that brings us all together.
‘I will take action against those making noise’
Kharge further said, ‘I have 58 years of political experience. Many leaders have come here, even though their contribution to the party may have been less, but the party has given them a lot. There will be footage of whoever is making noise here. After seeing the footage, I will take disciplinary action.
Kharge took a dig at PM Modi
Mallikarjun Kharge took a dig at PM Modi and Donald Trump in the rally. He said that both the leaders consider themselves good friends. One is ruining the country and the other the world. On the donation issue to Ram Mandir Trust in Ayodhya, he said that it is ‘loot’ in the name of religion.
Kharge also raised the issue of NEET exam and sought the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The Congress President said, ‘They are not able to conduct the examination properly. BJP and Pradhan have betrayed the students and parents. He will have to resign. He also cornered the government on the issue of unemployment and inflation.
