Four Potential Replacements Chelsea Could Sign for Marc Cucurella

Marc Cucurella has finalised a move to Real Madrid in a transfer valued at up to £51.8 million.

The departure of the Spanish international represents a setback for the West London club, as he played a vital role in their campaign last season.

Chelsea are now expected to search for a capable replacement for Cucurella, and several options could be under consideration this summer.

Lewis Hall, who emerged from Chelsea’s own academy, left the club to join Newcastle United in 2023, initially on loan before the deal was made permanent.

The England international has experienced a rapid rise since then, becoming one of the standout left-backs in the Premier League.

Despite his youth, Hall has already clocked over 100 senior appearances for Newcastle United, demonstrating both consistency and maturity.

Re-signing him would be an attractive prospect for Chelsea, but completing such a deal would not be straightforward, as the 21-year-old is also attracting interest from Manchester United.

Antonee Robinson has proven to be a dependable figure for Fulham since his arrival in 2020.

Although his current contract runs until 2028, the American international is expected to be available for transfer in the upcoming summer window.

Robinson’s energy, athleticism, and attacking contribution make him a well-established Premier League option.

Chelsea could find him to be an appealing target as they look to strengthen their defensive options on the left flank.

Rayan Ait-Nouri made a promising start at Manchester City following his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, an injury sustained in September allowed Nico O’Reilly to solidify his position as the first-choice left-back.

Upon returning from injury, the Algerian international found it challenging to reclaim his spot, managing only 12 Premier League starts during the season.

While Ait-Nouri may be hesitant to leave City so soon, Chelsea could attempt to persuade him with the assurance of regular first-team football.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have also been linked with Sporting Lisbon’s Maxi Araujo.

The Uruguayan is known for his blistering pace, versatility, and ability to contribute goals, making him an exciting prospect for the Blues.

However, securing his signature would require a significant financial commitment, as Sporting are unlikely to sell cheaply.

With Araujo under contract until 2029, the Portuguese side hold a strong negotiating position in any potential transfer discussions.
