This league, which has been organized for almost 40 years, has become the identity of Lucknow’s football culture and heritage.
Lucknow Football Association Secretary Kanhaiya Lal said that Late. Habul Dada, Late. Mirza Qasim Hussain, Late. Mohammad Usman and Late. Legends like Saeed Ahmed took this competition to new heights. He said that he himself has been responsible for its successful organization for the last 24 years.
Tektro Club, the champion of the last two years, will enter the field this time with the intention of scoring a title hat-trick. At the same time, teams like Uttar Pradesh Police, Falcon Club, Sports College and Ex-Students will also try their best for the trophy. Divyanshu Verma, Aveesh Imran and Aditya Singh, who performed impressively in the Santosh Trophy, will also be the center of attraction in the league. More than two dozen teams are likely to participate in the competition.
