According to reports, WhatsApp is testing a new home screen shortcut feature. This shortcut will be available directly on the home screen of the Android phone.
Users will be able to record voice notes with just one tap and send them directly to any contact.
Apart from this, there can also be an option to select multiple people simultaneously as receivers.
Updating status will also be easy
WhatsApp is preparing to make not only voice messages but also status updates easier.
Through the new feature, users will be able to update the status from the home screen widget itself. Some reports also claim that there may be an option to share the recorded voice note directly on WhatsApp status.

This upcoming feature is currently in the development phase. The company may first release it for beta users. After this, after completion of testing, it will be rolled out for all users.
