This week’s box office race has seen mixed results, with most new releases failing to deliver strong numbers except a few steady performers. Among the films currently in theatres, Imtiaz Ali’s Main Wapas Aaunga has emerged as the top performer, while other major releases have struggled to maintain momentum.

The Sharvari–Vedang starrer Main Wapas Aaunga has shown gradual growth over its first few days. After opening at around ₹1.15 crore, the film picked up pace with ₹1.85 crore on day two and ₹2.50 crore on day three. Although there was a dip on day four, collections bounced back on day five to ₹1.65 crore, taking its total Indian gross close to ₹9.88 crore. The film’s improving weekday performance suggests it is benefiting from positive word-of-mouth and steady audience interest.

In comparison, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, starring Kangana Ranaut, has not managed to sustain strong earnings despite a decent opening. The film reportedly started at around ₹1 crore, but subsequent daily collections have remained inconsistent, hovering near the ₹2 crore range on some days before dipping further midweek. Overall, the film is currently lagging behind expectations at the box office.

Similarly, Manoj Bajpayee’s Governor has received appreciation for performances but has struggled commercially. The film has seen modest collections, including around ₹4.6 crore on Tuesday, with its weekend performance providing most of its earnings. After a weak Monday, the drop continued into midweek, keeping its total relatively low compared to competitors.

Overall, while Main Wapas Aaunga is gradually building momentum, both Bharat Bhagya Vidhata and Governor are facing challenges at the box office, highlighting how audience reception and word-of-mouth continue to play a crucial role in determining a film’s success beyond its opening weekend.
