Nissan, as part of its new strategy, has decided to come up with a range of new and updated cars. Earlier this year, it launched its B-segment MPV, the Gravite. This is essentially a rebadged version of the Renault Triber. Apart from the MPV, Nissan has planned more products for India as part of its new strategy. Here, we have a list of such new and updated Nissan cars that are launching in the market soon.

The Nissan Tekton is a mid-size SUV that the brand has been working on for some time. The SUV is actually Nissan’s version of the Renault Duster. The SUV will be officially launched in July, and we already have an idea of what the SUV will offer in terms of design and features.

The Tekton is based on the same platform as the Duster. However, the exterior design of the SUV will be inspired by the Nissan Patrol. The SUV will offer the same set of features as the Duster, such as automatic climate control, ventilated seats, electric seats, a digital driver display, a driver-centric touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery, and so on.

It will be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine option. The smaller engine would come with a manual transmission, while the bigger engine would come with manual and DCT gearbox options.

Nissan will also launch a strong-hybrid version of the Tekton in the market. This version is expected to be launched in early 2027. The SUV is available with a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates around 160 PS.

This engine is paired with a 1.4 kWh battery pack that would offer good fuel efficiency. This is also the same technology that will be offered in the Duster.

Nissan is likely to follow the same path as Renault. Renault is said to be working on a 7-seater version of the Duster based on the Boreal SUV. Once Renault launches it, a Nissan version of the same is also expected to come to the market soon.

The SUV is expected to be offered with the same Nissan Patrol-inspired exterior design, along with features similar to those of the Tekton. The SUV will be offered with the same 1.3-litre turbo-petrol and 1.8-litre strong-hybrid powertrains.

The Magnite was the only product in Nissan’s India line-up for a very long time. It was, in fact, doing the heavy lifting for Nissan for several years. The current-generation Magnite is based on the same platform as the Kiger. Renault recently announced that, under its new game plan, it will move to the RGEP architecture.

This new platform would make its way to the Nissan Magnite too, and the RGEP architecture would allow the brand to offer an underbody CNG tank instead of the retrofitted setup that comes with the current version. When it moves to the new platform, Nissan is also expected to offer a facelift. It could also feature a CNG-automatic combination, which is not available with the current version.

Renault unveiled the Bridger concept a few months ago. Once Renault launches the made-in-India Bridger SUV next year, Nissan will also start working on its version of the same. In fact, both these SUVs are expected to remain mechanically identical, but the exterior design will be different.

Initially, we will get the naturally aspirated petrol and turbo-petrol versions, while the hybrid and EV versions will follow later. It will use the same 1.2-litre strong-hybrid engine as the Bridger.

Nissan launched the Gravite this year, and it is expected to receive an update too. Like the Kiger, the Gravite will also be updated to the RGEP architecture, and that would allow Nissan to accommodate the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that buyers have been demanding for a while now.

The MPV will also get an underbody CNG tank, and we are likely to see a turbo-petrol and CNG combination as well.
