During a program organized in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has targeted BJP on many issues. In fact, Gehlot participated as the chief guest in the Nawab Dada Kayam Khan Martyr Day and Talent Award ceremony organized by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Welfare Society. During this time, he has said that BJP, which is contesting elections on all the Lok Sabha seats, does not give ticket to even a single Muslim candidate.
In fact, many leaders including Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara, MP Imran Masood, MP Rahul Kaswan, MLA Rafiq Khan and Amin Kaggi were present in the program. In his address, Gehlot said that there is an atmosphere of concern regarding democratic institutions in the country. He said that the opposition is continuously raising its voice on various issues and is communicating among the public.

In his speech, Ashok Gehlot raised questions on the ideology of BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In fact, he said that the kind of debate going on in the country regarding religion and politics is a matter of concern. Gehlot claimed that many issues to the minority community are not being given adequate attention. He also mentioned the bulldozer action in Uttar Pradesh and said that despite the comments of the courts, the debate on such cases continues.

In fact, the former Chief Minister also raised questions on the electoral process by mentioning some political developments to West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. He said that to keep the democratic system strong, an impartial role of all institutions is necessary. Gehlot also mentioned Indira Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in his address and said that the country should move forward with the basic spirit of the Constitution.
