Birsa Munda Martyrdom Day: Modi said, the saga will awaken patriotism!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda on his martyrdom day. PM Modi said that his story of sacrificing everything for the motherland will continue to instill patriotism in every generation of the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on social media platform

Earlier, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda on his martyrdom day. “On the martyrdom day of Lord Birsa Munda, I pay my tribute to ‘Dharti Aaba’, whose life was an epitome of courage, self-respect and unwavering commitment to justice,” the Vice President wrote in the ‘X’ post.

The Vice President also remembered Birsa Munda’s ‘Ulgulan’. “Through the historic ‘Ulgulan’, he instilled a spirit of resistance against oppression and inspired tribal communities to protect their rights, identity and dignity,” he wrote.

He further wrote, “It is a matter of deep personal honor for me that I have the opportunity to pay homage at his sacred birthplace ‘Ulihatu’ on the very first day of my assuming office as the Governor of Jharkhand and more recently as the Vice President of India.

The sacrifice and ideals of Lord Birsa Munda will continue to guide the country towards social justice, empowerment and inclusive development. His legacy will remain an enduring source of inspiration for generations to come.”

At the same time, BJP National President Nitin Naveen wrote, “Humble tribute to Lord Birsa Munda, the immortal symbol of tribal identity, self-respect and independence, on his death anniversary.

His indomitable courage against the British rule, his struggle to protect the rights of the tribal society and his campaign for public awareness have been an important chapter in India’s freedom struggle. He inspired the society to stand against injustice and fight for their rights.”

Nitin Naveen further wrote, “His life gives us the message of actively contributing to nation building while protecting our roots, culture and rights.”
