Strict security arrangements have been put in place for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. Following the paper leak controversy, the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency (NTA) are maintaining rigorous oversight at every level to ensure the confidentiality of the exam. Experts involved in setting the question paper, translators, and other staff members have been moved to secure, undisclosed locations. This arrangement will remain in effect until the conclusion of the exam on June 21. The use of mobile phones, the internet, and other digital devices has been prohibited.

A multi-layered security system has been implemented to ensure the re-examination on June 21 is fair and transparent, thereby eliminating any possibility of irregularities.

**Strict Restrictions on External Contact**
According to a *Times of India* report, staff associated with the exam are banned from using mobile phones, laptops, smartwatches, and other communication devices. Access to the internet and external communication has also been severely restricted. A record is being maintained of everyone entering or leaving the premises, and only authorized personnel are permitted entry.

**Heightened Vigilance Following the Paper Leak Controversy**
The NEET-UG exam held in May had to be cancelled due to a paper leak controversy, causing anxiety among more than 2.2 million candidates nationwide. In light of this, the security framework has been significantly strengthened this time to uphold the credibility of the examination.

**Strict Monitoring at Every Stage**
According to officials, processes such as question paper preparation, translation, printing, packaging, storage, transportation, and distribution have been compartmentalized. This ensures that no single individual or group has access to information regarding the entire process.

**Air Force Assistance and Digital Monitoring**
The use of Indian Air Force aircraft for the secure transportation of question papers is also being considered. Meanwhile, social media platforms, messaging apps, and online forums are being monitored round the clock to promptly identify fake question papers, rumors, or suspicious activities.

Education Minister Issues Special Instructions
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has instructed officials to address every shortcoming identified in the previous examination. His objective is to ensure that the re-examination scheduled for June 21 is conducted in a completely fair, secure, and transparent manner.
