BCCI announced squad for T20I: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian T20 team for the tour of Ireland and England to be held in late June 2026. On this tour, Team India will first play a two-match T20 series against Ireland, after which it will take part in a five-match T20 and three-match ODI series against England. The selection committee has made many major changes in the team and given opportunity to some new faces, while the responsibility of leadership has also been handed over to the new player.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made a splash with his bat in IPL 2026, has got a place in the Indian senior team for the first time. The young batsman won the Orange Cap by scoring 776 runs in 16 matches of the season and was the highest run-scorer in the entire tournament. Seeing his excellent performance, the selectors have included him in Team India for the T20 series against Ireland and England. Now the eyes of the fans will be fixed on his international debut.

BCCI has started a new leadership era by handing over the command of the T20 team to Shreyas Iyer. Iyer has been in excellent form for some time now and has impressed as captain as well. There is a good mix of young and experienced players in the team, due to which the selectors seem to be moving towards preparing a strong T20 team of the future.
BCCI: Team also announced for Asian Games 2026
BCCI has also announced the Indian team for the Asian Games 2026, which has seen a big change compared to the T20 squad. Star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been included in this team, due to which the bowling attack has become stronger. Players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Verma, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Sanju Samson are also part of this team, while the presence of Bumrah will provide additional strength to the team.
