The upcoming Real Madrid elections, scheduled for today, are set to determine the future direction of the club’s long-term project. All indications suggest that Florentino Perez is likely to continue as the club president.
Should Perez secure another term, Jose Mourinho is expected to make his return as the team’s head coach. The Portuguese tactician will reportedly have significant influence over the club’s transfer strategy and recruitment decisions.
According to reports, Mourinho has already become involved in Real Madrid’s planning process and has submitted a list of five players he wants to sign during the summer window.
As detailed by Defensa Central, the soon-to-be Real Madrid manager has specified the signings he considers essential for his first season back at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bernardo Silva is among the five names on Mourinho’s wishlist.
Two of these transfers are said to be nearly completed, awaiting only official confirmation — Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries.
The other three players Mourinho is keen on bringing in are Bernardo Silva, Riccardo Calafiori, and Matheus Fernandez. His selections make it clear that he views the team’s defensive and midfield areas as the key positions needing reinforcement.
Florentino Perez, determined to restore Real Madrid’s status as a top contender for every major European trophy, is reportedly ready to support Mourinho fully in the transfer market.
In addition to the five signings requested by the manager, Perez is also pursuing a marquee ‘Galactic’ signing valued at around €150 million. If he wins the election, he plans to make an official offer for the target player on Tuesday.
Current reports suggest that Michael Olise is the primary target for this high-profile move, though it remains to be seen how Perez will negotiate such a massive deal.
