Anthony Martial and Liga MX powerhouse Rayados have officially reached a mutual agreement to terminate the forward’s contract with immediate effect.
The 30-year-old Frenchman, once regarded as one of France’s most promising footballers, made his high-profile move from AS Monaco to Manchester United back in 2015, where he initially impressed with his pace and technical ability.
During his stint in Mexico, Martial featured in just 20 matches across all competitions, contributing one goal and three assists for Rayados. Despite expectations, his time in the Liga MX side did not go as planned.
Rayados endured a disappointing 2026 Clausura season, finishing in 13th place and missing out on the playoffs, which led to several changes within the squad, including Martial’s departure.
With this termination, Martial becomes a free agent this summer and will be exploring new opportunities to reignite his career in another league.
