This special helpline of Yogi government became the messiah for the disabled! Now every problem is being solved on one phone call

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is continuously taking big steps to provide justice to every section of the society. In this context, the toll-free helpline of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has come as a huge relief for the needy disabled brothers and sisters of the state. According to the latest data released by the government, a record 96.38 percent of the total complaints received on this helpline have been completely resolved. The government claims that now the disabled people do not have to go to the doorstep of government offices to get their smallest problems solved.

A total of 7,707 complaints were registered on this government helpline number 1800-180-1995 during the financial year 2025-26. Showing promptness, the department has successfully resolved 7,428 of these complaints. According to top officials of the department, the disposal of such a large number of cases clearly shows how sensitive and accountable the Yogi government is towards the rights of the disabled, their convenience and respect.

Most complaints came regarding pension problems

If we look at the type of complaints, most of the cases registered on the helpline were to the Divyang Maintenance Grant i.e. Divyang Pension Scheme. Apart from this, complaints to difficulties in making Swavalamban Card which is considered very important for the disabled, benefits under Shop Construction and Operation Scheme, Marriage Incentive Award Scheme and Artificial Limbs and Aids Distribution Scheme also reached the government through the helpline.

100% work done in many important government schemes

According to the information received from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, the department has done wonders in very important matters like Swavalamban Card and Artificial Limbs and Assistive Devices Scheme. 100% of all the complaints received under these schemes have been resolved, that is, not a single complaint is left pending. Higher officials say that they themselves are regularly monitoring and reviewing these complaints, so that no eligible beneficiary has to wait unnecessarily and long for his entitlement.

This modern helpline system has today become the strongest medium of direct communication between the disabled people and the district administration. Any disabled beneficiary of the state can directly contact this toll-free number to get correct information about any complaint, pension problem or any new welfare scheme of the government. The department clearly claims that all complaints are being resolved within a stipulated time frame and in a completely transparent manner.

Speaking on this success, Deputy Director of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Amit Kumar Rai said that the state government is working on the ground with full commitment for the all-round welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities. Giving official confirmation, he said that out of the total complaints received in the year 2025-26, 96.38 percent have been resolved successfully. He further said that the only effort of the department is that the benefits of all government schemes should reach every eligible disabled person at the right time and every problem of theirs can be solved quickly on the spot.
